SFTP Service

Information Brief

Available Files

Customer SFTP directories contain multiple files available for download, either automatically by an external application or manually by any standard SFTP client.

CDR Files

  • Format

{BatchID} is a system-wide identifier; therefore, you may notice gaps in the numbering. This is not an indication of missing CDRs, it implies that your account had no CDRs within that specific batch.

{YYYYMMDD} is the day the CDRs were processed. Calls from one day may be processed the following day, which is especially true for batches processed close to midnight. Calls that span multiple days will be processed after they have completed and have been rated.

{Source} is where ThinkTel obtained the call detail records. Most often this is from our enterprise switch, but may also originate from other internal systems for specialized services.

Invoice Files

Invoices have three associated files:
  1. PDF invoice file
  2. CSV file of charges included in the invoice
  3. CSV file of CDRs included in the invoice

The invoice CDRs and charges files provide alternate views to what is printed on the PDF invoice, which can help facilitate customer automation.

Temporary Files

Customers may occasionally find temporary files in their FTP directory. These can be safely ignored.

Archived Files

Files older than 1 full calendar year are moved to an archive subdirectory and compressed as ZIP files. Files older than 7 full calendar years are deleted.
